Happy New Year!

Christmas updates and more.....

I think its fair to say that Grayson definitely enjoyed this Christmas much more than last. Although he's only 16 months, he very much enjoyed tearing packages open and had priceless expressions opening every gift, even if it was clothes or something he's never seen before. Elmo, t-ball and his very own "big boy" chair were among some of his new favorite toys. Here are some of my favorite pics from Christmas:

These first two pictures were taken at the Morris Family Annual Christmas Eve soup exchange. These are ALL of Blaine's Grandma's GREAT grand kids! Needless to say, Blaine has a very big family!

Grayson with Grammy as well as with his Uncle Ryan and Aunt Kim. On Christmas morning we had everyone over to our house for breakfast/brunch. We then took a long walk later later that afternoon to gear up for more food & fun at my parents' house for Christmas dinner.

Grayson & Rebecca Goodwin! We had the Goodwins over for dinner a few nights before Christmas. My first time cooking prime rib!

The weekend before Christmas, the three of us made crazy quick trip up to Visalia, CA to attend one of Blaine's cousin's weddings. Although we made the trip in just under 24 hours (approx 15 hours of driving!), we were very glad we made the trip to visit with a lot of Blaine's family whom we don't get to see too often. Grayson was an awesome traveler and slept the majority of the trip since we did a lot of the driving through the night.

I had to save my favorite pics for last. These are Grayson's "buddies" who are all watched by the same babysitter. We've been taking Grayson to this sitter for almost a year now and she is wonderful! Grayson still screams & pitches a fit every time I drop him off (yes, this still breaks my heart!), and yet she is so patient & kind and he always is in a great mood when we pick him up. She makes all holidays and birthdays special for the kids and these are just a few pictures that she gave us for Christmas. I just think it's too cute because she has ALL boys ranging from 7 months to 2 1/2. So here's a couple pictures of "the boys!" One of them was missing this day.

Well, I guess I had a lot of pictures to share....that's what happens when I go so long between postings. Hope everyone has a very Happy Healthy New Year!

Priceless Santa Pictures!

So evidently, Grayson is not a fan of Jolly Saint Nick! This really comes as no surprise being that Grayson has always been a little timid around strangers, especially ones that are big, round and dressed in red & white furry outfits! Even having mommy go with him this year didn't help the situation any. Last year wasn't any different, but the poor guy didn't have near as good of coordination at 4 months, so he was stuck in Santa's lap. This year, his expression caught on camera was priceless...."Get me out of here!"

I was trying to upload last year's pic, as well as the picture of Grayson with the evil Easter Bunny, but I'm not having any luck. I really stink at this blog thing. I'm not sure a Mac would solve all of my issues with this thing! Anyways, I will try later and post them if I can.

Also wanted to share a few of the pictures we had taken around Thanksgiving for our Christmas cards.

This was taken last weekend. We had Becca, Jonny & Molly over for my soup disaster! Ended up ordering pizza! It was a nice evening though.

Hope everyone has a great week! Only 12 days till Christmas!

Dance baby dance!

Just wanted to share a fun video from tonight. Tried to capture Grayson showing off some of his new dance moves. Becca & Molly got to see his fancy moves up close an personal today....maybe a little too close for Miss Molly....once again, Grayson couldn't keep his hands off her! She was a good sport though.

This picture was taken out at Buddy & Susan's. They acutally have an antique coin operated horse for all the grandkids to play on!

I love you Miss Molly Mac!

This is just a funny video taken a few weeks back at my parents house of Grayson trying to carry on a conversation!

Boo Baby to Big Boy Quack Quack!

Well Quack Quack the Duck seemed to really to enjoy this Halloween much more than last year's!
I was certain that Grayson wouldn’t wear the hat part of the costume, but he surprised us all and really seemed to enjoy getting into his duck character. Below are a few pictures from the evening, as well as one of Grayson and little Rebecca Goodwin (the Lion) holding hands getting ready to jet set through the neighborhood!

Here are a few pictures taken from two weekend's ago at a Pumpkin Patch that Blaine, Ryan, Grayson & I attended. Grayson had a ball playing in a sand box filled with black eyed peas rather than sand. Who ever thought of this idea was awesome! Grayson couldn't get enough and even enjoyed shoving a handful of beans into his mouth!

This is a picture of Grayson getting his first haircut. We took him to the same barber that did Blaine's first haircut. Same barber, same location, just 30 years later! Grayson did really well & definitely looks more like a big boy now sportn' his new cut!

Grayson & Uncle Ra Ra! He has definitely got the hang of walking now.

Finally, this was taken last Friday at Kofa's 50 year reunion. Being that my dad, brother & I were all graduates and Ryan & I had missed our 10 year reunions, we decided to attend and show our support!

Hope everyone has a great week!

I can atleast share some pictures!

I am definitely not as dedicated to our blog as I'd like to be, but I can atleast share some pictures every couple months! Not much new in Grayson's world....just getting bigger and looking more like a little toddler by the moment. We are actually taking him in to get his first haircut on Saturday, as he is getting quite the mullet! Michaela reminded me yesterday that he will look even more like a little boy after his first haircut! He has learned how to walk (I will attempt to attach another video), but I wouldn't say that he is "walking," as he is much more inclined to drop to all fours when he wants to get somewhere. I am sure that will change soon! He has also become quite the dancer these last few weeks. When he hears a song on the radio or tv that he likes, he does this little bounce/march with his feet and a this funny gangster arm bounce! It's pretty cute! His vocabulary consists of mama, dada, byebye, nigh nigh, bubble, quack quack, ball and ga-ger (which is his name for Gunner, Chasers, Skyler and probably any furry four legged animal!

The one and only Davy Crockett!

Going in for the tail! Watch out "Ga-ger!"

Grayson saying "Nigh Nigh!"

Below is Blaine's one year baby picture and a pic of the cake I had made for his 30th Birthday party. Pretty crazy how almost identical they are!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY GRAYSON!

Grayson Scott turned ONE yesterday! Just wanted to share some fun pics & videos from his birthday party last Sunday, as well as his one year pictures that were taken yesterday on his birthday. Despite the miserably HOT and HUMID weather, the party was a success....thanks to everyone that came and helped us celebrate! We did a luau theme pool party so I decided to make Grayson a birthday cake in the shape of a fish. I'll post a picture below. I guess I was feeling very Martha Stewart last week because I baked over 70 cupcakes and made over 70 sandwiches too! Yes, we have entirely too many left overs, but hey, who doesn't enjoy cupcakes for breakfast, lunch and dinner! I am sick of the sandwiches though. The cake turned out ok, especially considering I am pretty new to this cake decorating thing. I wanted to have a cake just for Grayson so that we could let him go to town with it. It was his first time eating cake, plus he gets a little shy in big groups, so we were afraid he may not go for it. Fortunately, he proved us all wrong and didn't hold back one bit!

Grayson just had his year wellness check with the Dr. today and finally broke 20 lbs! He is "long and lean" Dr. Crawford said....20 lb 4 oz, 31 inches and head measured 47 cm. From 5 lb 13 oz, 19 inches, I think he's done ok! Unfortunately, he is still fighting a bad ear infection, so the Dr. put him on a 3rd antibiotic (let's hope this works!). Good news is we were able to put off shots today until the ear clears up.

Ok, sorry no videos....I am sick of trying to upload! Pictures will have to do. I always have trouble uploading videos and getting pictures to stay in the same place that I save them...anyone else have this problem? I think this is why I don't get on here to often! I'll try later maybe.

Just a cute picture of Grayson & Molly Mac sharing toys last week!
