This view of Wood Canyon Lake was pretty enough for a postcard. That’s Grayson fishing off the rock for crawdads!
So look who showed up at our camp! It’s none other than Billy Bob himself! I left for a couple nights to return to work and came back to this toothless cutie pie! Got his front tooth knocked out by sister in a wrestling match! Good thing it was ready to fall out!
Even Chasey boy gets to sleep on the trailer!
Can I just say fishing on a dinky boat with three kids under the age of 7 is super FUN! Good thing we didn’t have to wait to 5 o’clock to have a beer in the mountains!
We did a two mile trail hike down to the lake for a picnic as well as a little fishing. The kids enjoyed it so much, we did this two days in a row. The big kids were great little hikers and Jed gave me a little extra work out for the day!
Caught a fish all by himself and too many crawdads to count!
Saw lots of interesting critters on this trip. In addition to seeing several elk, we saw quite a few water snakes! “Can I be the first to say, ‘Eww’!” This is Colbie’s new line from the kid’s new favorite movie, Greece!
Enjoyed some great rainfalls in the mountains! Always fun for us desert rats!
We had several serious games of UNO on our camping trip.
These poker players are all business!
Dada helped the kids make an awesome fort!
Saw the most beautiful rainbow on my drive back up. This picture doesn’t do it justice. Made me think of DeeDee.
At least they love each other in their sleep!
We were home for less than 36 hours…. just enough time for Blaine to do the yard, me to clean out the trailer, do 10 loads of laundry, haircuts for the kids and repack for the beach….and I’m sure break up several fights in between! Exhausting is an understatement, but sitting out on this deck with this view in this weather with a cold beer makes it all worth it!
Grammy & Papa made the most adorable triple bunk beds for the kids with their own little lanterns & personalized pillows! So fun!
We spent our first day at “big beach” (Salt Creek). Great way to unwind and wear these little munchkins out for good afternoon siesta!
Blaine pointed out that we happened to plop right down between the “swim” & “surf” sign! Oops!
I forgot to include these in the last post. Blaine caught 5 Bluefin tuna on his fishing trip with Gordan a few weeks ago. We are enjoying lots of delicious fresh fish these days! This is a random from our lakefront property (heehee!) of Grayson giving Mama a boat ride! He even charged me a dollar for this!
