13225 S. ORLANDO ROAD

That would be our new address as of March 31st!  The last couple months have been such a hectic, stressful blur, but we are finally feeling like things are coming together.  After house hunting for over a year, we finally found “the one” this past February.  The whole buying, negotiating and loan process has been extremely stressful & one we hope we won’t have to deal with for a very long time!  We were fortunate enough to get our old place rented right away, but almost rented ourselves out of a home entirely, hitting several bumps along the way with the new purchase.  Fortunately, although it closed a little later than expected, it all worked out and we are official acreage owning country folk ;-)  That’s what Blaine told me anyhow after I freaked out the first night when greeted by an enormous hairy spider in my shower!

This is the only picture I have at the moment, but will post more along the way, as we are working on several projects in the back yard and the kids are enjoying being little “helpers.”  Haha!  This house was built in 2007, so for the most part, it was move-in ready; however, much of the backyard is unfinished or needs work, so it has been project central over here!

Lots of old pictures I just want to get up before I loose them, and in no order in particular.

Kids in line for the piñata at Miss Molly’s birthday and spending a little girl time with my Colbie before the big move.

Colbie trying on the same dress that Sais wore in our wedding when she was just about the same age.  Sais is 13 now!

Our little Jedi Master!  He’s doing awesome and totally running the show these days.  He’s super chatty and very expressive with his hands when he talks.  Of course we don’t always know what he’s saying, but we can usually figure out what he wants or is trying to say!

Finished up soccer season just in time for baseball season to start up!  Blaine is coaching this year too and Grayson was so excited to be on the Diamond Backs!!  Our little Blue Devil earned her first trophy!

Having had such a warm March, the kids luckily got to enjoy the pool a few weekends before moving.  We will definitely miss having one at our new place.

Colbie had a little Easter program at her pre-school.  We couldn’t believe Jed didn’t panic with the scary looking Easter bunny!

First baseball game of the season!  And I didn’t even get a picture of our baseball stud!  However, I did get a picture of our cute little cheerleader!  As soon as she heard we were going to G’s game, she ran into her room and changed into this!

Ran into cousin Brody at the game!

Enjoying some of sister’s cupcakes!  Colbie and I still try to bake at least once a week and she is so proud because she can crack the eggs all by herself now!

We definitely saved a lot of money by doing everything ourselves with the packing, moving, repairs, cleaning, etc., but if we EVER had to do this again, I may seriously consider hiring some help!!  Blaine was able to score a couple of trailers for us, which helped out tremendously.  We made it in five loads with the help of his stepbrother, Jake.  We closed on Tuesday at noon, spent out first night in the new house that same night and had our old placed completely cleaned and ready for the renter to move in that Friday.  My parents took the two older kids to Laguna for their spring break week, so we were able to get a ton done without our little “helpers” around!  Plus, I’m pretty sure they were having much more fun lounging at the beach!

Gettin’ dirty and killing gophers is how we ended up spending our Easter!

All tuckered out!  Colbie was greeted by this nice little surprise put out by her new school!

It was like Christmas here last week when one of our chickens laid her first egg!  She’s laid one every day since!  And this is just Colbie being Colbie!
