Boys Camping Trip!

015

The boys returned Sunday from almost a full week of camping up in the White Mountains.  Blaine, Grayson AND Chase joined Buddy and Susan at a camp site near Big Lake which is about a twenty minute drive from Greer, AZ.  While this was the longest I’ve ever been apart from Grayson AND Blaine, it was such a great experience for the two of them and it was a nice opportunity for Colbie and I to have some “girl time!”  The guys had a blast, taking in the cooler temps while soaking in beautiful scenery, doing a little fishing, building camp fires and just goofing around the camp site!  They also went spotlighting a few evenings and were able to see several wild horses and elk.

Pretty country.

As you can imagine, Grayson and Colbie were pretty happy to see each other Sunday.  They kept giving each other hugs and were inseparable for a couple hours.  It is rarely like this, so I was loving every moment!

2nd Annual D-backs Game!

As a Father’s Day present, the guys headed to Phoenix for the day to watch the Diamond Backs play last Sunday.  Although they didn’t catch a ball this year, I heard it was a great game (they won!) and Grayson had a ball walking around the stadium and hangin’ with just the boys for the day (Dadda, Papa and Uncle Ryan).  He especially loved seeing Baxter and his house and told me all about what he had in his fridge!

While getting to watch the D-backs is pretty cool and all, nothing compares to a kid’s first trip to Hooters…..yes, Hooters!  Apparently, Daddy thinks Hooters has awesome wings, so the boys stopped for some lunch before the game with our three year old son!  Seriously, I could care less and got the greatest laugh out of it that night as I was tucking Grayson in for bed!  I was asking him all about his day and the game and then I asked him what he ate for lunch.   He tells me “chicken” and then he continues by saying, “mama, the girl (as in the waitress)……her shirt….it was wiwee wiwee wittle!”  He’s still having a hard time with his R’s and L’s!  I tried really hard not to laugh and said, “Her shirt was a little too small haw?”  Grayson… “Yea, and she had an owl on her shirt.”  Three years old and already checking out the chickas!  Ask him about the game and he couldn’t tell me much (besides Baxter!).  Ask him about lunch and he tells me exactly what the waitress was wearing and how “wittle” it was!  Boys will be boys!

Miss Chatterpants!

Colbie is talking up a storm these days!  It is super cute and lots of fun, but lets be honest…. it is also at times, completely exhausting!  Definitely makes for a long car ride home from work when BOTH of them are screaming at me about who knows what from the back seat AT THE SAME TIME!  Just wanted to share this cute video of Blaine reading to her last night.  Oh, and since this is our baby book, I also have to report that Miss Colbie went pee pee in the potty today for the first time!  I don’t think that we are to the potty-training stage yet, but we did put out Grayson’s old potty a little while back to see if she had any interest and tonight before her bath she did!  Yea Colbie!

4th Annual Handerson Morrisbach 4th of July!!!

Way too many pictures to share and way to little time to blog!  Just wanted to get these posted for my blog book before I get overwhelmed with more summer vacation pics!
We just returned Sunday from another great 4th of July in Laguna with the Andersons and the Hollenbachs.  We also got to meet sweet baby Camdyn, which was a big bonus!  The pictures speak for themselves….we had a blast at the beach as usual and had a couple great dinner parties with friends and family.

Watching fireworks from the balcony.  After everyone gathered around to sing the Star Spangled Banner (yes…this is a goofy bunch!), Colbie was watching all of us with such excitement and then raises her hands in the air and shouted “Play Ball!”  It was truly priceless!   Of course, everyone was laughing hysterically at her, so she continued to yell, “Play ball, play ball” soaking up all the attention!

So both tadpoles did in fact turn into frogs, but only one survived…..just long enough for us to chuck it in our fountain before our trip!  I couldn’t take the stink anymore and I was honestly afraid it was going to hop out of the bowl!

Lastly, we were able to meet up with Allysia and her adorable kiddos before we took off.  Pretty crazy what we’ve created here over the past 10 years!
