March Madness!

March seems to be the birthday month. Counting the coming weekend, we will have attended 5 birthday parties in the past two weeks! Along with parties, cake and fun has come some beautiful weather lately. We have tried to take advantage of it while it's here by spending more time outside and taking a few trips to the park, where Grayson has become quite the fisherman....that is, thanks to his Daddy and Uncle Ryan!

Below are a few pictures taken at the park.

Uncle Ryan caught a huge cat fish!

Deciding whether or not he should touch it!

We took the kids to Midnight at the Oasis last weekend just for something different to do. Grayson definitely has his Mama's love for any adrenaline rush! While he is Mr. Sensitive and the biggest cry-baby when it comes to MOST things, he loves rides and has no problem getting on them all by himself! This is the ride he couldn't wait to get on!

He picked the snake to have painted on his face!

Colbie started rolling over (from tummy to back) a couple weeks back. She continues to grow and is getting the cutest rolly, dimply little thunder thighs! Although she is not the best napper during the day, she sleeps pretty well at night, going down about 8:30 and usually only waking up once around 1 or 2. I change her, nurse her and she is usually back to sleep within a 1/2 hour and sleeps till about 6:30. She is becoming quite talkative and giggly these days too! I will need to upload a video soon.

Gotta appreciate this picture! I think this will be how most of our pictures will turn out for a while! At least one of them will be in tears and the other probably looking away!

Still rockin' the blue eyes! Who knows what they'll do.

Last week was my first real week (3 days) back at work and so far so good. It's just been a learning process trying to find time to cram all the house chores and shopping done and still spend (quality) time with the kids on my "days off!" Grayson is doing well at school, but still puts up a HUGE fight....blood, sweat and major tears every time we have to drop him off in the morning. As much as it kills me, I just have to remind myself that it is short lived (at least that's what his teachers tell me!) and it is good for him! I will totally second the Burgess' on the fact that it is no longer the "terrible twos" that are a challenge, but rather the upcoming three's that we have to worry about! As much as I love him, there are MANY days where he makes me want to pull my hair out and scream! Every little thing from getting dressed to taking a bath to brushing his teeth can quickly turn into a full blown temper tantrum if we don't catch him just at the right moment when he is in a super happy mood and most importantly, when he feels that he is in TOTAL CONTROL! And as he gets older, smarter, more independent, and much much more stubborn, we just have to continue to practice our patience, patience and more patience!!!! This too shall pass! I HOPE!

On a very happy note, my mom completed her last chemo treatment on Monday! Hooray! Three more weeks till she can have the port taken out and then she can hopefully start feeling well again and put this all behind her for good! You are doing awesome Mom :-)
Happy St. Patty's Day to everyone tomorrow!!
Oh, and GO WILCATS!
