Road Trip!

Just wanted to share a few pictures from last week. Blaine & I had requested last week off a while back to go on a cruise. However, when the time finally came, we decided we weren't ready to leave our little guy behind and would rather spend the vacation as a family, so we made a last minute change of plans. We started off our trip by going to Tucson for a few nights. Although it was still pretty hot there, Blaine & I hadn't been back in 5 or 6 years and we were able to get awesome summer rates at the Westin La Paloma resort. The hotel has several pools, a water slide and even a kiddy pool, which was fun for Grayson, as he can't seem to get enough of the water. We visited some of our favorite restaurants (had to hit Beyond Bread twice!), took a day trip and picnic up at Mount Lemon and also went to check out the underground caves at the Colossal Cave Mountain Park. We of course had to visit the U of A campus while we were there and reminisce on the good old days! It looked like all the students were just moving in to there dorms while we were there. I can't believe it's been 11 years since I was doing that same thing! Sure made us feel old! After staying 3 nights, we drove back to Yuma, let Grayson burn up some energy for a few hours, then got back in the car and drove up to Laguna to spend the rest of our vacation at the beach! My brother & Kim met up with us Thursday night, so we all got a great beach day together on Friday. We then headed to SanDiego Saturday afternoon for Kim's sister Deana's wedding, which was a beautiful setting on Coronado island. That wrapped up around 7, so we put Grayson in his PJ's and drove home to Yuma....he was a great little traveler and slept the entire way home....never even woke when we got him out of the car seat and put him in his crib at home!

So now we are busy back at work and planning Grayson's 1st Birthday party. I cannot believe how quickly this year has flown by. Hope you enjoy the pictures.

Below is a video of Billy-in-training! Grayson gets a kick out of the piano and loves to pull him self up and bang on the keys while standing on his tippy toes.

Just wanted to post a few new videos and pics as it's been a while. I am not near as dedicated to this blog thing as my friends are, but I do what I can. Not much new here in the Morris household. Grayson is quickly approaching his first birthday and I cannot believe how quickly the time has gone by. The last few weeks have been pretty rough for the poor guy, as he has had a terrible flu/cough and battled his first nasty ear infection. Luckily, he is feeling much better and back to his normal, goofy self! I don't know if he is just playing catch up or going through another growth spurt, but he has been eating and sleeping like a champ lately. He is getting closer and closer to walking, but I still think it will be another month or so before he is doing it on his own.

We like to get our hands into every cabinet and drawer possible, including Mommy's bra drawer!
