McBurgorris Family Vacation!

The First Annual McBurgorris Family Vacation was a hit! It was an awesome trip and I look forward to many more down the road. This is a picture of The McBurgorris' in order! Being that there were 3 babies under the age of 16 months, it was a lot easier than I had anticipated. Landon, Grayson and Molly were all very easy going, had similar routines and shared the same bedtimes. Landon and Grayson played really well together and were equally fascinated with Miss Molly Mac. It will be even more fun when she's a little older and can boss those boys around! We had fantastic weather the entire time...cool enough to wear sweatshirts in the evenings and warm enough to take a dip in the ocean during the day. We had a perfect beach day, a trip to the lake for some fishing, great home cooked meals, and back-to-back evenings of very serious, very competitive Yahtzee.... only the brilliant realize the importance of getting your boni! Dustin and Jonny got their Billy Ray Cyrus/Joe Dirt on with the Magic Mullet by earning the biggest loser title of the night! Oh, and we can't forget Becca's World Famous Fantabulous Fart Cake! Thanks Missy! Here are some of my favorite pics from the trip.

This is a picture of Blaine's BIG catch this trip! You may have to zoom in a little to get the full picture....really was a beautiful fish! Proud moment!

Love this goofy smile!

Beach Buddies!

...Or should we say Bath Buddies! Grayson & Landon getting ready for their bath! They will definitely hate us for this later!

Happy 4th of July!

So its been a while since I've managed to get a post up, but we've been a little busy. We just returned this afternoon from a great trip to Laguna to celebrate the 4th and escape this beautiful Yuma weather....only to turn around again this coming Wednesday for our much-anticipated McBurgorris Family Beach Vacation! I can't wait! Blaine just finished his watermelon season last Tuesday and our office took Friday off, so we had a nice long weekend to relax, eat too much and hit the beach. We took Grayson to the beach on two separate days and he couldn't get enough sand in his mouth and was fearless around the water! Although it was too chilly to get in, he kept crawling straight towards the waves crashing on the shore. Blaine & my dad saw an Angels game while we were there and Blaine was also able to get a little fishing in at a local lake....I won't post a picture up of his incredible catch b/c it will just make all you fisherman out there really jealous! I did; however, get a picture of this enormous twig...oops, I mean catfish! Between the scallops, burgers, snickers, cookies and homemade strawberry icecream, we both feel about 10 pounds heavier....it seems like we never stopped eating! Thanks to mom and dad for all your great meals! Anyhow, here are a few fun pictures from the weekend.

Pop-a-top Again!

Just wanted to share a couple of Grayson's 9 month pics that we had taken last week at J.C. Penney's.
Also, we caught Grayson drinking a beer last weekend (Michaela's Aunt Laura got him hooked!), so we had to share! I hope you all realize he didn't actually have any beer, but these photos were priceless...I know my brother will appreciate them!
Grayson finally got another upper tooth, so we can't call him snaggle tooth anymore. He's really into sharing food with you now and gets a kick out of it if you eat what he offers you. He's also starting to point to things when you ask him where the doggy. kitty, mama, dada is. Fun stuff! Hope everyone is having a great week. I'll try and share a video later today or this week.

I know these pictures are terrible, but they crack me up! He's definitely a lightweight!

The last one is of Grayson in the pantry...he found some really big green balls to play with!

Team Goon Takes the Gold!

Mud Run Weekend 2009 was a BLAST!! OK..... maybe running 6 miles, most of which is uphill, jumping 5 foot walls, crawling on your hands & knees through small rough tin tunnels, crossing a river waste high and getting mud in your face and mouth as you crawl on your belly to the finish.....may not be considered a "blast" to the majority of you, but we thoroughly enjoyed it! Especially because Grandpa Pops did so AWESOME! He took home not 3rd, not 2nd, but the FIRST PLACE metal for his age group! Pretty amazing! He finished in approx. 1 hour 2 minutes, taking over 10 minutes off of his last year's time! And yes, he beat his daughter and son-in-law, who are 30 years younger.....but obviously NOT in any better shape! Blaine finished next and then myself, both of us finishing in approx. 1 hour and 3 minutes. Neither of us placed, but we did pretty well for our age groups. Grammy was a great sport and stayed back to watch Grayson, take pictures and cheer us on. Grayson was definitely this year's good luck charm for Team Goon! We are so proud of you Pops! You trained hard for this and you SO deserve that metal! Here are a few fun pics from last weekend's event.

No major changes with Grayson...he still cruises all over the place on his belly, climbs up onto everything and still has a snaggle tooth. He doesn't say mama as much anymore. Last week, everything was "Ba!" Now, he says "Da Da" quite a bit. Here's a short video from last night showing Grayson cracking himself up! We were playing a new "catch me if you can" game last night and he apparently thought it was hilarious!

9 Month Check Up

Just wanted to share a few pictures and updates....Grayson had his 9 month wellness check up today and according to the Doc, he is doing great! He weighed in at 18 1/2 lbs, 28 inches and has a 46 cm cabeza! No shots this time around - thank God! Next check up will be at a year old. Grayson has a new trick this week....he can go from his belly to a sitting position quite easily, so we now find him walking along all the furniture, pulling himself up onto everything and sitting or standing in his crib when we go to get him....it's pretty cute and also pretty frightening! Can't take your eyes off him, as he is getting into
EVERYTHING now! He is especially interested in all those things he is not supposed to have, like computer cords, remotes and Chases dog bones. We also gave Grayson spaghetti for the first time on Sunday, and needless to say (as you'll see in the picture), he loved it! While he does pretty well with all the baby foods now, the few "real" foods that we've let him try, he'll just makes a face and play with instead of actually eating. Spaghetti, however, was an entire different experience!

We are headed out to Laguna for the weekend. My dad, Blaine and I are running in our 3rd annual Camp Pendleton Mud Run on Sunday....actually this is only my second as I was 6 months pregnant last year and had to sit out and be a cheerleader instead! I know, we are all crazy! It's even crazier that we are all actually excited about it! I will try and post a few pics next week of Team Goon in action! Hope everyone is having a great week!
GO TEAM GOON!

Memorial Day Weekend

I told you it would be a while before I get my next post up, but I'm trying. My friends are keeping me inspired! This will be brief, but just wanted to share a few pics and memories of the past weekend. Michaela, Dustin and Landon were in town so we had a great time getting the kids together and getting a preview of what our McBurgorris Family vacation will be like (for those of you that haven't heard this term before, that is McIntier, Burgess and Morris all rolled into one name!) Yes, we are total dorks! We are planning a trip to the beach in July for the 9 of us and are very much looking forward to it! This weekend was spent almost entirely around BBQ's and the pool. The weather was perfect if you were in the water, but a little warm if not. I love this picture of the three little rascals together. Molly, Grayson & Landon are all about 6 months apart and it is amazing how much they grow and change in just 6 months! The other picture is of Grayson and Landon playing together. Grayson was very into everything that his bigger buddy was doing and really seemed to enjoy his company!

The picture to the left is my best attempt to capture Grayson's "snaggle tooth" for all of you. He still only has 2 on the bottom and one on the top, so my mom calls him Mr. Snaggle Tooth!

Grayson is still doing his funky little crawl...cruising around on his belly; however, he is more and more interested in standing and tip-toeing along the couch or coffee table...we are starting to wonder if he may bypass the whole crawling on his knees thing and go straight to walking. I will try to get a video uploaded here in the next few days.

Above is a picture of Grayson with his Great Grandma DeeDee, playing with one of his new favorite toys. He loves to pull himself up on this and bang around on all the buttons, which plays music and makes fun sounds.
Last, but not least is a picture of Senor Grayson on Memorial Day at Grammy & Pops after a nice swim in the pool. We'll end with that as Grayson is tugging at my feet to come play! Hope everyone has a great week!
