Happy Birthday Grayson!

This big guy turned SEVEN last week!  My oh my where is the time going?!  We had quite an eventful week, starting off with his first sleep over last weekend, to cupcakes & lunch at school with Mama and sister, to a Panda Express (G’s favorite!) birthday dinner with Buddy, Susan and Great Grandma!  Took him to to see Dr. Crawford last week for a check up and he is 52 pounds and almost 50 inches!

SEVEN boys all in all (including Grayson) came over to celebrate last weekend!  I really didn’t think too much of it when I planned the party.  I may think it through a little more next time!  What the hell was I thinking?!!!  The boys had a blast and most importantly, no one got sick or broke and bones or disappeared on me…. but holy moly, seven 6-7 year olds can get pretty rough and rowdy! And getting them to change into their jammies and wind down at the end of the night was quite the task!  I heard the last of the giggles around midnight that night and they were up bright and early the next morning at 6!  Whoo Hoo!!!

Grayson requested star wars cupcakes this year!  Colbie and Jed helped me frost them…. well, maybe just their own!

The next morning, we picked up some donuts and took the boys fishing at the castle park!  Besides catching a few puny little guys, we didn’t have too much luck in the fishing department, but the boys had fun!

Rolling around on his new skateboard from Grammy & Papa and trying out his new spy goggles!  The birthday boy also made out with a new hamster for his birthday!  He swore that this was the ONLY thing he really wanted for his birthday and we figured the family funny farm could use another critter!  I guess I forgot to take a picture of our new pet….I’m sure I will post one soon.  We still haven’t decided on a name yet, but he is a cute little black and white fella!

Piano lessons are going well…. for the most part!  The kids love going and love Mrs. Sharon, but getting them to practice at home is another story.  Colbie likes to go in all by herself and doesn’t want us to come in until the end… Miss Independent!  Grayson also started orchestra at Yuma Lutheran and is learning how to play the violin!  Fun fun!  And this little cutie is the world’s best sport and goes along for the ride to all the kids’ various activities!
